LONDON: Former British number one Laura Robson is set to return to action following a long injury absence after being given a wildcard for the WTA Miami Open later this month.
Robson last played a match at the Australian Open in January 2014 before undergoing surgery on her left wrist.
The 21-year-old had hoped to be fit for this year's Australian Open but did not make it and a subsequent plan to return at low-key events in the USA, where she has been training, had to be shelved as well.
Robson, who no longer has a ranking, will therefore play her first match in more than 14 months in Florida.
