imageAfter being ignored constantly by the selectors, Pakistan’s pace bowler Junaid Khan expressed his disappointment for his exclusion from the One-Day International (ODI) squad against Ireland and England, claiming he has no other option but to consider playing for England.

“I have no option but to consider playing for England now,” said a dejected Junaid while talking to local media on Tuesday.

“Half of my family resides in England, but I kept Pakistan as my priority. I had the opportunity to play for England in 2013 after my outstanding performances in County cricket, but I rejected it,” said Junaid Khan.

Junaid who last played one-day cricket in May 2015 during Zimbabwe’s tour of Pakistan and was eliminated from the probable line-up for the tour of England in June early this year, after being declared unfit by chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq.

While, Junaid took to his official account Twitter to express his frustration, Junaid argued, “I cannot understand on which basis I am out of the team. Is it performance or is it fitness. I'm attending 3rd fitness camp and I am 100% fit my performance and the list of countries whom I have played is in front of you all. I have not been allowed to play league and county cricket.”

Earlier, Junaid said he was fully fit and focused during the boot camp at PMA Kakul, “where else do I prove my fitness and rhythm”.

Junaid has represented Pakistan in 22 Tests, 52 ODIs and 9 T20Is with 71, 78 and 8 wickets respectively.
