imageKhyber Pakhtunkhwa beat Sindh by 7 runs in the 8th match of the Pakistan Cup 2016 and also qualified for the final of the event.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be led by star batsman Ahmed Shehzad after Younis Khan left the tournament in middle to protest bad umpiring. While Sindh is being captained by newly-appointed national T20 skipper Sarfraz Ahmed.

After winning the toss, KPK captain Shehzad played a sublime knock of 143 runs off 135 balls that included 15 fours and 2 sixes. He was supported by fellow open Fakhar Zaman who scored 68 runs. KPK went on to score a massive total of 319 runs at a loss of 6 wickets.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) set a total of 320 runs for Sindh; However, Sindh in reply lost the momentum early on, losing three quick wickets for just 22 runs on the board. Khalid Latif played a massive innings of (168*) and Fawad Alam (74) added 164 runs for the fourth wicket partnership bringing back their team on track.

Sindh was left 7 runs short of the huge total set by KP as Zia-ul-Haq bowled a splendid last over for KP as he conceded only 8 runs. Zia picked 3 wickets for KP while Sameen Gul took 2 wickets.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team, who has won three matches out of four, played so far. However Ahmed Shehzad and Khalid Latif are joint Man of the Match.
