imageIn the third match, Sindh gets off to a flying start in the Pakistan Cup 2016 after beating down Balochistan comprehensively by 42 runs on Thursday.

Sindh team’s openers Khurram Manzoor and Sami Aslam scored impressive centuries to hand over team Balochistan a target of 229 runs. In response, team Balochistan could only manage to score 186 runs against their opponents.

Balochistan had a poor start when Sindh’s Sohail Khan managed to pick up the wicket of Mohammad Nawaz in the very first over. Nawaz failed to score any run (0). Babar Azam (13), who was caught by Khalid Latif at short mid-off to leave Balochistan reeling at 23-2, Babar struck three fours from 19 balls.

However, third batsman for Balochistan, Umer Akmal, also failed to make any significant impression and was dismissed at only 10 runs. While, Sohail Tanveer managed to contribute precious 19 runs to Balochistan’s innings.

Sindh’s innings was filled with some fantastic batting skills displayed by Sarfaraz Ahmed’s team prove to be the enthusiasm needed. Sami Aslam remained unbeaten at 108 runs while Khurram Manzoor’s managed to grab 100 runs. Sindh had set a target of 266 runs but the play was disrupted by the rain due to which the overall score and the overs were lowered.

Mohammad Amir bowled well under good batting conditions. He got the swing and was good with his line and length. As per report, Sindh captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has said that the team players have made their best efforts to overcome their weaknesses in the practice sessions. Coach Tauseef Ahmed is also hopeful for their best performance.

Balochistan captained by Azhar Ali has already defeated Shoaib Malik led Punjab team by 12 runs on Tuesday in their inaugural match.
