imageAfter the meeting between BCCI and PCB heads in Dubai, chances of the bilateral Indo-Pak series, ended without any result. However, Chairman of England and Wales Cricket Board Giles Clarke was playing a mediator’s role between both cricket boards.

According to media reports, BCCI president Shashank Manohar, who is also the chairman of ICC, met his PCB counterpart Shahryar Khan at the ICC headquarters on Sunday to discuss on the proposed series between India and Pakistan scheduled to be held in December. The BCCI had also earlier said that they are game to play in a neutral venue like Sri Lanka or Bangladesh, rather than UAE which has been a "No" as far as the BCCI is concerned.

While the outcome of the meeting has not been known, the PCB chairman Shahryar Khan also termed it as a "fruitful" meeting."We had a fruitful meeting in which Sethi was there, Clarke was there as facilitator, it was a fruitful meeting and the decision is that Clarke will brief the media tomorrow [Monday]," Khan told media persons.

"We have also decided that there will be no further briefing. I am not in a position to say more than this,” he added.

Last week, BCCI President Shashank Manohar has made it clear that their team will not play in the UAE for unexplained reasons, while PCB Chairman Shahryar Khan has stressed that Pakistan will not tour India as this is supposed to be their home series.

Pakistan and India have not played a full bilateral series since 2007. They played limited over series in 2012-13.
