imagePakistani cricketer Raza Hasan has been banned for two years after being tested positive for the consumption of cocaine. Raza Hassan was tested positive for cocaine at a World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) laboratory in India.

According to local media reports, “The tests have been taken and they are positive,” said a PCB official. “He will be banned for two years from domestic and international cricket. PCB will soon release a statement in this regard,” the official added.

First urine sample of Hasan was collected in Januray during the Pentangular Cup in Karachi, it has been tested positive on cocaine during the tests run on it. However, the results of the second sample are still awaited but on basis of the first results, PCB has already established a committee to take an action against the spinner and seek a clarification from him.

Hasan is a Pakistani first-class cricketer, who made his cricket debut in 2010 where he replaces Danish Kaneria during the England tour. Previously, Shoaib Akhtar and Muhammad Asif had also faced ban for the consumption of similar kind of substances.
