imageISLAMABAD: Pakistan coach Waqar Younis while praising batsman Younis Khan said he is a legend and is a role model for all youngsters watching cricket.

Pakistan beat Australia by 221 runs in the first Test and will play its second Test match on October 30.

Waqar said it is a very important victory for us. "We won nothing against Sri Lanka and hence this win matters a lot," he said while talking to a private news channel.

Waqar said Misbah led the team extremely well in the match. "Younis Khan is simply a legend. Scoring 26 Test centuries for Pakistan is no walk in the park," he said.

Waqar said Zulfiqar Babar bowled on an immaculate line and got the reward. "I know the Aussies more than anyone else. They will test our skills and our resistance to the best of their abilities," he said.

Waqar said we need to be well prepared for the next Test match and make sure we don't make any errors.

Young batsman Ahmed Shahzad said Younis Khan is always so professional. "Younis is a true gentleman and a perfect example to us youngsters," he said. Shahzad said Younis is never late and always positive on the field. "I have never heard a negative word from him," he said.

Shahzad said we were unlucky in Sri Lanka at some stages but overall they were better than us. "This is a great win against a very tough opposition like Australia," he said adding he is really looking forward to the next Test match.
