imagePakistan’s all-rounder Shahid Afridi has been appointed as the captain of the Pakistan T20 team. Mohammad Hafeez has resigned from the captaincy after the unsuccessful ICC World T20 2014. Afridi thus comes back for a second stint as captain of Pakistan. Apart from Afridi, Sohaib Maqsood was one of the candidates for the captaincy.

Shahid Afridi has been announced today as a captain of Pakistan crickey team till World T20 in 2016. Afridi captained Pakistan in 2010 and 2011. He also led then in one Test match before giving up the format all together.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also retained Pakistan’s skipper Misbah-ul-Haq as Test and ODI captain until 2015 World cup.
