imageISLAMABAD: Talented all-rounder Abdul Razzaq feels Pakistan captains Misbah ul haq and Muhammad Hafeez need to bat more positively saying why to take a single when a six can be hit on that delivery.

Razzaq, who had represented Pakistan on more than 300 occasions, scoring over 7,000 international runs and taking almost 400 wickets, said both Misbah and Hafeez are good cricketers but cricket has changed in the recent times and is much quicker now. "If you bat slowly than that has an impact on the whole innings and on your team mates. Both Hafeez and Misbah need to bat in a more positive manner," he told Pakpassion.net.

Razzaq, who's last ODI was in November 2011, said Misbah and Hafeez need to show more intent at the crease and show more positivity so that their batting does not put a negative impact on their team mates.

Speaking of the upcoming T20 World Cup, Razzaq said he was disappointed for not selected for the mega event but there's nothing he can do about it. "It was the selectors' decision and whether I agree or disagree it makes no difference," he said adding he still has it in him to play for Pakistan.

Razzaq further said in Asian conditions you can never write off Pakistan in any format. "Our bowling unit is capable of winning any match from any situation and I am confident that Pakistan can win the World Twenty20 crown, just like we did in 2009," he said.

Talking about his future career besides playing cricket, Razzaq said he wants to coach in future. "I have played cricket all around the world in all formats and against the world's best, so I would like to pass on my experience and knowledge to players of the future around the world," he added.
