LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Thursday as it shed 9.48 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 3703.14 and closed at 3693.66 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 755,863 shares to close against previous turnover of 849,602 shares, showing a downward slide of 93,739 shares. While, out of the total 95 active scrips 18 moved up, 48 remained equal and 29 shed values.

Adamjee Insurance Company, Engro Foods Limited and Millat Tractors Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.46, Rs 2.23 and Rs 2.18 respectively.

Engro Corporation Limited, Nishat (Chunian) Limited and Fecto Cement Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.10, Re 0.83 and Re 0.75, respectively.

The Volume Leader of the day included Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 1.545 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.244 million shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 838,153 shares.
