LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 40.27 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5157.90 points and closed at 5198.17 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.940 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.498 million shares, showing a downward slide of 558,200 shares. While, out of the total 96 active scrips 39 moved up, 12 shed values and 45 remaine equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Lucky Cement Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Engro Foods Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 11.21, Rs 5.00 and Rs 4.30 respectively.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Askari Bank Limited and Byco Petroleum Pakistan lost their per share value by Re 0.90, Re 0.52 and Re 0.21 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Silkbank Limited (Saudi) with 534,500 shares, Lotte Chemical Pakistan with 393,500 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 274,500 shares.
