imageLAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 9 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5153.23 points and closed at 5162.23 points.

The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.296 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.298 million shares, showing a downward slide of 2.002 million shares. While, out of the total 98 active scrips 23 moved up, 20 shed values and 55 remaine equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Shell Pakistan Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 6.30, Rs 4.30 and Rs 3.33 respectively.

The Hub Power Company Limited, Byco Petroleum Pakistan and Maple Leaf Cement Factory lost their per share value by Re 0.65, Re 0.51 and Re 0.45 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 288,000 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 157,000 shares and Sui Southern Gas Company Limited with 155,500 shares.
