KARACHI: City administration has fined 71 shopkeepers of Rs 92,200 for over-charging citizens in areas including Orangi, Garden, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Manghopir, Gulberg, Airport and Bin Qasim.
Karachi Commissioner office spokesman sharing on Thursday the details of ongoing campaign against profiteers and adulterators during past 24 hours said those fined included shopkeepers dealing in edible goods.
He said 31 chicken sellers, three grocers, one flour miller, 14 green grocers, four fruit sellers and 18 milk sellers were fined for fleecing their customers.
