Week-long lockdown to be imposed in more areas of Lahore

  • Lockdown will be imposed in seven areas of Lahore tonight.

The district administration of Lahore announced on Wednesday that seven more areas in the city will be put under lockdown.

The administration announced that a week-long lockdown will be imposed in these areas where the cases have increased. The deputy commissioner said the decision was taken after 877 coronavirus cases were reported from these areas, local media reported.

The lockdown will start from tonight.

Punjab reports highest number of coronavirus deaths

The areas under lockdown are Township, block A-2, Wapda Town, DHA-EME, Johar Town, block C, Green City, Punjab Government Scheme and Chungi Amar Sadhu Main Bazaar and adjacent areas.

Punjab has reported 83,599 cases and 1,929 deaths.
