Famous Pakistani actor and filmmaker Jamal shah on Saturday not only shared details of his first movie but also revealed to the local media that Bollywood sensation Sonam Kapoor is going to play the lead role in his next movie.
Shah’s first movie ‘Revenge of the Worthless’ is set to hit the cinema screens across the country on July 22, but he is already planning his next project in which he wants, Bollywood diva Sonam kapoor to play the female lead role.
The movie has been written by Mumtaz Husain, who will be directing it and Jamal Shah will co-produce it.
‘Revenge of the Worthless’, primarily in Urdu language, is based on Swat insurgency and torture and fight of the people hit by terrorism. Shah decided to make a documentary on Swat’s deteriorating security situation under Taliban rule after 2009, but later he decided that it should present it through a movie.
He said, “It’s my first film and I have shot it on original locations”.
“For me, the film was a big challenge not only due to its content but the locations as they were difficult to access,” he added. He also revealed that roles of Taliban commanders Sufi Muhammad and Mullah Fazlullah have been played in the movie, by experienced actors Firdous jamal and Ayub khoso.
Shah thanked the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) for providing him help with the logistics of the film.
Commenting about his second movie ‘Phir Khili Anarkali’, he said that he will shoot the romantic picture in New York and this entertainment diversion attempt has been done with Mumtaz Husain.
“The film will be a very interesting love story set in contemporary New York switching back and forth in 16th century and modern times. It will be a tasteful commercial film of high production values.”
He also added that, "We are talking to Sonam Kapoor for the female lead."
It will be quite a delight to see gorgeous Sonam Kapoor on the silver screen. It will create lot of excitement among the people. Let’s see if she signs up the film or not!!
