TAIMERGARAH: World Polio Day would be celebrated in Lower Dir on October 24 with an objective to secure future of next generations by creating awareness regarding the significance of anti polio campaigns.
Addressing the Executive Committee of National Institute for Research and Development here on Friday, Mufti Khalid Mehmood said that Ulema would focus the importance of vaccination in Friday prayers and polio walks would also be held in various districts to disseminate necessary information regarding polio.
Speaking on the occasion, Coordinator EPI, Dr Jehanzeb said more than 300 parents have been placated to immune their children against polio menace which is a depiction of positive attitude of society against the disease.
He urged society to play a role in polio eradicating endeavors and save their children from permanent crippling.
