President approves confirmation of Additional Judges of Peshawar, Sindh High Courts

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday approved the confirmation of two Additional Judges each of Peshawar High Court and Sindh High Court.

On the advice of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, those who have been confirmed as Additional Judges Peshawar High Court are Justice Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah and Justice Yahya Afridi.

The judges who have been appointed as Additional Judges Sindh High Court are Nadeem Akhter and Mohammad Shafi Siddique.

The nominations after due consideration were forwarded to the Parliamentary Committee on the appointment of Judges in the Superior Courts by the Judicial Commission which unanimously agreed with its recommendation and approved Justice Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah for extension as Additional Judge till the age of superannuation and Justice Yahya Afridi for confirmation as Judge of Peshawar High Court.

It also approved, unanimously, the nomination of Nadeem Akhter and Mohammad Shafi Siddique as Additional Judges of Sindh High Court.
