KARACHI: The Senior Advisor to Prime Minister for Interior, Rehman Malik, on Monday called on Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, at CM House.
Senator Islamuddinn Shaikh was also present on the occasion.
Chief Minister congratulated Rehman Malik on his re-election as Senator unopposed and termed it the success of Pakistan Peoples Party, which is serving the people under the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and policies of Co-Chairman PPP and President Asif Ali Zardari.
He added that the unopposed success of Rehman Malik is remarkable and described this as the success of Party's programme and policies.
Qaim Ali Shah said that almost all parties in Sindh Assembly have cooperated.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that Rehman Malik has extended his services for the party and his candidature was decision of Co-Chairman of PPP.
He also lauded the role of Rehman Malik with regard to law and order of Sindh particularly in Karachi.
Chief Minister said that his support for maintenance of peace in Karachi is always commendable.
He further said that the Peoples Party will continue its services to people without any hesitation and hindrance.
Senior Advisor to PM for Interior Rehman Malik expressed his thanks to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister, Raja Pervez Ashraf, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Members of Provincial Assembly of Sindh, all coalition parties of government and office bearers and workers of the Party.
He said that Pakistan Peoples Party is following its manifesto and political vision and polices of President Asif Ali Zardari that he has been selected on Senate seat, for which he is thankful to President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, all MPAs of coalition parties and also thankful to workers of the Party.
Rehman Malik further said that it is only due to polices of Peoples Party, and all coalition partners will work for the welfare and progress of the country.
He expressed his firm belief that he will work for the policies of the party under the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari.
Rehman Malik also thanked the efforts of Senator Islamuddin Shaikh during Senate election.
He pledged that he will devote his life for following the political line and programme of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, and will give priority to resolving the problems of people.
Lauding the policies of President Asif Ali Zardari, Rehman Malik said that he will discharge his duties as per abilities and efficiency for furtherance of programme of PPP.
