The excitement for the World cup is increasing day by day as the colossal event draws closer. In order to boost the morale of both the players and cricket fans a World Cup anthem has been released. Strings have once again released a track for the World Cup ‘Phir Se Game Utha Dein’. This song is a reimagining of the song ‘Who rules the world’ sung by Kasey Carlone and Matt Slogett.
The track ’Hai koi hum jaisey’ was released in 2003, with the song becoming one of the biggest hits of the year and was written by Anwar Maqsood and composed by Bilal Maqsood and Faisal Zafar.
Coke Studio has composed a two minute and forty second long anthem.
After 10 years Strings have released a new world cup track and the song has brought together numerous artists on one platform. The track features artists such as Atif Aslam (singing the opening sequence), Asrar, Jimmy Big Ears, Adnan Malik, Adnan Siddiqui, Bilal Maqsood, Aamina Shaikh, Javed Miandad and Faisal Kapadia.
The music video also highlights Pakistan’s success in the World Cup of 1992. The video depicts the moment that the Pakistani team held the World Cup Trophy for their first time.
