KARACHI: Popular Indian rapper/singer Honey Singh famously known as Yo Yo Honey Singh has now become a one of a celebrated singer of this generation. His energetic and high voltage performances made him popular among the generation next but clearly not among the responsible parents.
Recently, he has received a sarcastic letter from an annoyed parent who has accused him of stealing child innocence and little know-how about the classic music.
According to Indian media reports the letter says, “This open letter express my gratitude for the inexplicable way in which you have changed the life of our kids. Not a day passes in my life when I do not see the impact of your poetic songs and soulful music on their language, which has become extremely colourful, and their deliberations that have become centred on profound subjects like vodka, short skirts, suck and rhyming four-letter words”.
The letter further says, “thank you for making ‘Choli ke peechey kya hai’ sound like a bhajan in comparison with what you sing. Twenty years after we found it difficult to listen to that song, we can at least now turn up the volume in public. Thank you for helping me save the money I would have spent on making my children discover the poetry of Saahir, the rhythm of Khayyam and the eccentric melody of Kishore,” media reported.
Though, this issue has been raised many times on different TV shows and by responsible parents but due to emerging demand of such songs Honey Singh easily escape out of such criticisms.
The long letter covers much more sarcasms and allegations on ‘Blue Eyes’ singer which is interesting to read especially for the rapper’s fans.
