Disney Studio officially announces the sequel of highest grossing animated film ‘Frozen’. The news was announced the day before the seven-minute short film ‘Frozen Fever’ spins off.
The company tweeted on Thursday, “Forecast: Winter weather ahead! @DisneyAnimation developing Frozen 2”. It was accompanied by a picture of sisters Elsa and Anna, with Sven, the reindeer and Kristoff.
‘Frozen’ directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck once again on board who came up with the idea of its sequel.
John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios said, “We enjoyed making ‘Frozen Fever’ so much and being back in that world with those characters. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel,” foreign media reported.
The sequel doesn’t come as much as a surprise as a movie was released back in 2013 and still continues to be a major moneymaker for Walt Disney Studio. However, a release date and other production details are yet to be announced.
