The government is finally adopting the latest technology and the Lahore High Court (LHC) takes precedence over other institutions in launching its own app, which is gaining popularity among lawyers and public alike.
The app called the ‘Lahore High Court’ is developed by the Punjab IT Board and was introduced by Chief Justice LHC Mansoor Ali Shah.
As per media reports, the mobile app facilitates public with case hearing dates, it enables smartphone owners to view the progress or status report of cases, they can have a copy of verdict related to any event on their smartphones.
The move by the LHC was appreciated by litigants who expressed relief from repeated court visits. The app is available on Google Play, it requires Android 4.0 and above with a size of 7.1 Mb.
