Global warming has become one of the most imminent threats that the world currently faces. Fortunately, mankind is actively pursuing alternative (greener) sources of energy to counter it.
According to The Next Web, a Barcelona based company, has developed a system which convert a regular plant into a power charging station. Arkyne Technologies ‘Bioo Lite’ method turns a plant into a solar power station that can generate enough electricity to charge a USB cable.
However, you have to be careful not to leave your phone plugged there all the time, as the system is able to charge a smartphone three times per day; if charged more than that the plant will die, so be careful.
The project, which converts sunlight into energy similar to photosynthesis, seems like a school science, with 3.5 volts and 500 milliamps. Now, the big question is how it works?
As per Android Community, Step#1: remove the USB inside the pot, Ste#2 add some water inside and shake it carefully so the water will flow properly. Lastly, put the plant inside, fill with soil, and making sure that the USB is visible. Just plug in your device and see the miracle.
And wait, the amount of charge depends on the kind of plant, placed inside the Bioo Lite, the green leafy ones are the best.
