The Crafter’s Expo is a yearly feat in Karachi that works as a platform for Crafters and Craft enthusiasts to exhibit and honor their talent and skill. It facilitates home owned businesses as well as NGO’s and Grass Root level organizations to support local craftsman and artisans.
Event is Organized by The Crafters Guild and Firefly, Supported by Dastkari.Pk Pakistan’s Premiere Marketplace for Crafters.
Varah Musavvir and Rafay Qureshi, Co-Founders of Dastkari.Pk said, “The Crafter’s Expo was coined with the concept of bringing together the craft community, not just in Karachi but across Pakistan, all united for a cause”.
“The event is a platform for craft based talent and homespun businesses. The show emphasizes positive drive within young entrepreneurs, promotes women empowerment, and creates awareness of handicrafts among the local people. 95% of our participants are women owned and operated businesses, 18% of our participants are students or young entrepreneurs and 8% of our participants are NGO's, Special Needs, or Development Programs for the Underprivileged”.
Dastkari.pk gives an online presence and allows businesses an e-store to reach wider audiences while the Crafter’s Expo is a platform up close and personal, to meet and interact with the crafters and their consumers.
The event will held on Sunday December 21, 2014 at Royal Rodale Club.
