Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, have welcomed their second child- baby girl.
The Palace has confirmed the 33-yer-old Duchess has delivered a healthy baby girl weighing in at 8lbs and 3oz. The Princess of Cambridge, who is yet to be named, came into the world at 8:34am on Saturday 2nd of May, 2015, foreign media reported.
The Duchess and her child are reportedly both doing well. Kensington Palace also confirmed on social media that Prince William was present for the birth.
Kensington Palace tweeted the news, writing, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8:34 am”.
Reportedly, Queen Elizabeth, The Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, Prince Harry and members of the Middleton family have all been informed of the birth. British Prime Minister David Cameron sent his best wishes in a tweet, “The whole country will wish her well”, he wrote shortly after she was admitted.
The couple's first child, Prince George, was born in 2013 at the same hospital.
