Cycling Pathways to Mars, a 10 minutes virtual reality movie by Buzz Aldrin can now take humans to Mars.

The second man to set foot on moon, Aldrin, will feature an astronaut as a hologram who will narrate the experience in his movie.

According to BBC, Aldrin is looking forward to hoping that this film can help the government focus on getting to Mars more quickly. He plans to use the moons of Earth and Mars as stops for the people travelling from the planet a trip that would have taken six months each way otherwise.

A VR firm 8i in collaboration with the media company Time Inc. helped created this movie and it aims to give the viewers a feel of how would life actually be on Mars.

SpaceX chief executive, Elon Musk, also volunteered to invest in the plans. Buzz welcomed them but said that the government should provide the necessary guidance, not companies.

The movie is already available to view on HTCs Vive headset and will soon be available for the Oculus Rift, Techradar reported.

This film was also premiered in the virtual cinema of South by SouthWest (SXSW) in Austin Texas and received many appraisals from various people. The film was incredible. The production quality makes you feel like youre standing in the middle of a high tier sci-fi film, which makes it all the more mind blowing that Buzz is guiding you through something that could realistically be implemented, said Charles Singletary from Upload VR.
