After a dismal show by Pakistan against Australia in the recently concluded series, the Pakistani fans are now eyeing the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is all set to begin on Feb 9 in Dubai.
The opening ceremony of the second edition of HBL-PSL, is set to be a star-studded event, featuring the likes of the obvious Pakistani singers Ali Zafar and Shehzad Roy and actor Fahad Mustafa. However, like the previous edition the PSL would also go international, after the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed that Jamaican raggae and hip-hop star Shaggy will also be lightening up at the opening ceremony.
In a special message for his Pakistan fans, Shaggy expressed his excitement ahead of the performance and requested his fans to flock the Dubai International Cricket stadium.
"I will be performing in Dubai at the HBL PSL opening ceremony, I request you all to come and sing some of your favorite Shaggy numbers with me."
As per PCB, the captains, officials, owners and squad members of all five franchises will also be welcomed on the field during the opening ceremony celebrations of the PSL.
Afterwards, the opening clash of the tournament between defending champions Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi will kick-off the action in the HBL PSL's 2017 edition.
