ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) here on Thursday said that all promotion in FATA Secretariat and agencies should be on merit and adopted the proper formula for promotion.
Maulana Jammaluddin Chaired the meeting and Sahibzada Tariq Ullah, Bilal Rehman, Muhammad Nazir Khan, Ghalib Khan, Bismillah Khan Nasir Khan, Qaisar Jamal, Mian Shahid Hussain Khan Bhatti, Sheikh Fayyaz Ud Din, Aftab Shahban Mirani, Faryal Talpur, Muhammad Kamal Malik, Shahjahan Baloch, Suraiya Jatoi, Aaisha Gulalai, Begum Tahira Bukhari, Iffat Liaqat, Dr. Asma Mamdot and officials from the FATA Secretariat and Ministry of SAFRON were also attended the meeting.
NA body directed the FATA Secretariat to follow the promotion process on merit without any discrimination or selection from the junior officers.
Chairman Committee Jamalluddin said that federal and provincial governments should construct all the linkage roads among all the villages of the South Waziristan and North Waziristan from village to village.
He said that IDPs are coming back to their homes and it is the responsibility of the government to provide all basic facilities.
The Committee also discussed ongoing RAHA projects and appreciated the decent work of the Ministry of SAFRON and UNHCR.
The NA Body has also directed the early construction of tube well schemes to facilitate IDPs in the NW and SW.
