PESHAWAR: Senate Chairman Nayyar Hussain Bukhari Tuesday paid tribute to Bashir Ahmed Bilour and said his services for the country would be remembered for long.
Bukhari was talking to newsmen here at the Bilour House here after condoling the death Bashir Bilour with his brothers Railways Minister Haji Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and Senator Ilyas Bilour.
Bashir Bilour, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister, was martyred in suicide attack after addressing the party meeting in the city the other day.
The Senate Chairman said the nation held the sacrifice of Bashir Ahmed Bilour in high esteem. He was martyred for adopting a bold stance against terrorism and militancy.
The best tribute to Bilour Shaheed is to carry forward his mission, he added.
He said the nation was united against the menace of terrorism and militancy and such coward attacks could not deter the government, political leadership, security forces and people to continue fight against the terro.
Bukhari said,"We believe in democracy and strengthening of democratic institutions in the country".
He offered Fateha for the Shaheed leader.
