ADDIS ABABA: Ethiopia's inflation rate rose to 6.9 percent in September from 5.9 percent the previous month, due to a rise in the price of food items, official data released on Monday showed.
The Central Statistics Agency said food price inflation rose to 6.1 percent in September from 4.4 percent in August. The non-food inflation rate was 7.8 percent in September compared to 7.6 percent the previous month, the body said in a statement.
