ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan international School (Azizia Section) organized a speech competition on Pakistan's founder Quaid-e-Azam Mohammed Ali Jinnah's life and his teachings on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
The students highlighted Jinnah's teachings, his qualities of standing up for the truth, hard work, faith, dignity, self-respect and self -made personality, Arab News reported on Saturday.
There was a presentation of an enthusiastic rendering of national and patriotic songs by the students which brought cheer to the program.
Principal Mohammed Bilal welcomed chief guest Fazal Subhan, the chairman of the school managing committee (SMC), teachers, parents and students.
He enlightened the invitees and the students on the importance of Quaid-e-Azam's message, especially the one directed toward students.
He advised students to work hard and concentrate on their education.
"This is your first responsibility toward your nation and your parents," he said.
"There is no doubt that for the progress and development of any
country, students and youth have to play an important role; your hard work today will help the development of your country tomorrow," he said.
Subhan congratulated the students on delivering wonderful speeches with enthusiasm and gusto. He talked about Quaid-e-Azam's personality, his fight for freedom. He advised students to learn from the Quaid's life.
Mohammed Omar Khan won the first prize. The second prize went to Fawaz Iyaz Khan, while Abdul Quddus bagged the third prize.
