LONDON: Andy Murray and Great Britain's successful Davis Cup team met British Prime Minister David Cameron during a celebratory reception at Downing Street on Tuesday.
The team posed with the trophy alongside Cameron outside the famous black door of the PM's residence at 10 Downing Street in central London.
Cameron praised the team for their "sensational win" over Belgium in Ghent on Sunday.
Inspired by Murray, who won two singles matches and a doubles match alongside older brother Jamie, Britain claimed their first Davis Cup since 1936.
But Andy Murray, the current world number two, has expressed doubts about whether the victory will improve the fortunes of British tennis.
"Sometimes I feel a bit like you waste time because nothing ever gets done, so I also don't want to waste my time talking about stuff," he was quoted as saying in several British newspapers.
"I'd rather concentrate on my own stuff and when I've finished playing, I'll have a lot more time to try and help or give back to the game. But just now, I've just got to concentrate on trying to win as much as possible."
