imageDespite losing first test match against Pakistan, Wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow is looking very confidant for the next match. He said, “England won’t panic even if they lose to Pakistan in the second Test, starting on Friday at Old Trafford”, he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

Currently, Pakistan is dominating England by 1-0 in the four-match series after the hosts suffered a 75-run defeat against Misbah and his team. Bairstow said, “I wouldn’t say panic, no there will still be two more games to go. It wouldn’t be panic stations, at all, by any means”.

It’s obvious that some players will be dropped after calling back James Anderson, leg-spinner Adil Rashid and all-rounder Ben Stokes into the squad for second test match against green shirt. “14 into 11 doesn’t go so there’s going to be some desperately disappointed guys that miss out for those spots come Friday morning,” said Bairstow.

He expressed his hope that he will be a part of the final 11 against Pakistan at Old Trafford. “I’m just trying to concentrate on training and hopefully getting in that final 11 for the game on Friday”.

Pakistan will face England again in the second test match in Old Trafford on Friday.
