imageFormer Twenty20 captain and star all-rounder Shahid Afridi responded the decision of the selection committee through his official account on Twitter.

Afridi supported chief selector’s decision to give a “chance” to youngsters and hoped to improve his form for prospective comeback.

Afridi had resigned from captaincy after Pakistan failed to put up a decent show in the World T20 in India, but announced that he would play county cricket in England this season in a bid to prove his form and fitness.

Pakistan’s Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq on Monday announced the names of probable players for the upcoming England tour. Former T20 Captain Shahid Afridi, Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal's names are not included in the team.

Pakistan will start their England tour with the first Test scheduled on July 16, which will be followed by three more Tests, five ODIs and T20.
