imageZimbabwe cricket team returned to their country in the wee hours of Monday after completing the tour of Pakistan which revived international cricket in Pakistan.

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) managing director Alistair Campbell said his country decided to play two Twenty20 and three one-day internationals after their intelligence work, local media reported.

According to local media Campbell said, “I am glad that we have been able to make a small part in trying to get Pakistan cricket back on track”. “I am sure this tour will open more doors and change the perceptions about Pakistan,” added Campbell.

Zimbabwe has become the first Test team to tour Pakistan since the terrorist attacks on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in March 2009. As per local media reports, Campbell said the series will strengthen relations between Pakistan and Zimbabwe.

During the tour, Zimbabwe played two-match T20 series and three match ODI-series. Pakistan won all the matches except the final ODI which ended in a no result due to rain and dust storm.
