imagePakistan vs Zimbabwe was the first international match to be played in Pakistan after six years of absence of International cricket from the country.

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor posted on Twitter, “Good to see excitement and smiles at Gadaffi Stadium, Lahore. Whosoever wins not important. You have won hearts defeating terrorists!”.

Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 5 wickets in the first Twenty20 international at a packed Gaddafi Stadium on Friday. The city remained in the grip of cricket fever on Friday. Zimbabwe captain Elton Chigumbura won the toss and elected to bat against Pakistan in the first Twenty20 on Friday, a match which marks the return of international cricket in Pakistan after six years.

The Pakistan government has maintained high level of security to ensure peaceful tour of Zimbabwe. As per local media reports, this tour of Zimbabwe supposed to give the message to whole world that Pakistan is still a safe land for Cricket.
