imagePakistan’s mystery spinner Saeed Ajmal returns back to action from today in the first ODI match against Bangladesh. He was found guilty of having an illegal bowling action by International Cricket Council (ICC) during Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka in September 2014 and was also not picked for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 for the same reason.

Now the spotlight is on him to bring out a good cricket from Pakistan cricket team. Pakistan’s head coach Waqar Younis also believes that Ajmal will make a solid comeback with this Bangladesh tour.

According to local media reports, while talking to media during the training session, Waqar Younis said, “This would be his first chance with the new bowling action and it would be a chance for us as well to test his effectiveness. As far as I believe his experience will come in handy and he will be successful”.

“He has worked really hard in the last eight months to make a comeback in the team. He has won a lot of matches for Pakistan in the past and I can see that he is in a good form,” he added.

Ajmal’s effectiveness with a reworked action will be tested during the month-long tour of Bangladesh which comprises three one-day internationals, a solitary Twenty20 game and two Tests. Before leaving for Bangladesh, Ajmal told foreign media, “It was torture living without cricket. I am confident of bowling as effectively as I used to before the suspension.”
