DUBAI: New Zealand were 54-1 at tea in their second innings on the fourth day of the second Test against Pakistan in Dubai on Thursday.
They are now 64 runs ahead after getting a 10-run lead following Pakistan's dismissal for 393 in the first innings.
New Zealand had made 403 in their first knock.
At the break Brendon McCullum (41) and Kane Williamson (four) were at the crease.
Earlier Sarfraz Ahmed scored 112 and added 81 runs for the tenth wicket with Rahat Ali who made 16 not out. Pace partners Tim Southee finished with 3-67 and Trent Boult took 2-69. Pakistan lead the three-Test series 1-0 after their 248-run win in the first Test in Abu Dhabi last week.
