ROME: Genoa's former Croatian midfielder Ivan Juric was named Tuesday as the Serie A side's new manager.
The 40-year-old, who played for Genoa between 2006 and 2010, succeeds his former boss Gianpero Gasperini, who after leading the side to 11th last season has moved on to Atalanta.
Juric was in charge of Crotone last term, guiding them to promotion for the first time in their history after topping the Serie B table.
Juric was assistant to Gasperino at both Inter Milan and at Palermo.
