ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court announced the reserved judgement on Wednesday dismissed a review plea of Engineers Study Forum about the construction of Kalabagh Dam.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Zamali comprising Justice Gulzar Ahmad and Justice Tariq Parvez heard the case and reserved judgment which was announced here on Wednesday.
The judgement authored by Justice Gulzar Ahmad stated that the court heard review petition at length and the Court reserved the judgement and asked the counsels for the petitioners to file written submissions if any, which the counsels for the review petitioners had filed.
The judgment stated that the review jurisdiction does not allow re-hearing of a decided case more so when the Court has given conscious and deliberate decision on the point of law as well as of fact while disposing of the constitution petition before it.
"We have noted that the arguments advanced by the counsel for the review petitioners and the written submissions filed by him do not figure-in as a ground provided for review of the judgment", the judgement said.
