imagePESHAWAR: Advisor to Prime Minister and In-charge Federal Departments in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engr. Amir Muqam has said that energy to be generated from projects in the wake of Chinese agreements would benefit the whole country and not any specific area.

Addressing a press conference here at Wapda House Thursday, he denounced the impression that KP has been deprived of its due share in the recently inked MoUs during the historic visit of the Chinese President. He maintained that the KP and Fata would certainly get its due share in economic corridor and energy projects. The economic corridor would pass through some parts of the KP and no change has been made in its route, he explained.

He also debunked the rumors that KP has been left out of the economic corridor project as its alignment has been changed.

He told the media that he would never compromise on rights of the province and would try hard for attaining the same. He was optimistic that load shedding would end in next three years time in the wake of implementation of MoUs in energy sector.

He severely criticized the performance of the PTI led coalition government in the province during last two years adding it failed to utilize even the available resources on the development programme. Last year 70 percent of the ADP funds were lapsed while this year, the same percentage of the development funds go waste.

He said that PML-N accepted mandate of the PTI in KP and allowed to work freely in accordance with their party programme but certain elements in the ruling party were attacking the electricity installations in the province and damaged scores of electric towers and grid stations.

He said that Imran Khan should prohibit his party MPAs and workers from indulging in acts of hooliganism. The KP Government has not initiated any action against their party workers for resorting to attack on Pesco installations in parts of the province.

Amir Muqam said that after the 18th amendment the provinces were fully authorized to initiate energy projects at its own, but the KP government has not started a single such projects in last two years.

Imran Khan had announced construction of 360 small dams in KP after his party won the elections but his government has not a dug a well in the province till date.

The PTI had promised free education and free healthcare facilities in the hospitals, he said adding "I have not seen any such school and health facility in the KP where free education and medication provided".

Imran Khan frequently targets others for poor performance while performance of his own government was before everyone in the province. The poor class-IV employees who were protesting for up-gradations of their scale were tear gassed and lathi charged by the police the other day which is worst example of bad governance of the KP government.

He also referred to billion tree tsunami programme of the PTI which he said miserably failed as the programme hit snag at the initial stage and the dream of green KP vanished.
