KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the chief secretary to take necessary measures to recover 153 government vehicles illegally allotted to unauthorised influential people.
The chief minister taking notice of media reports regarding illegal use of government vehicles by former cabinet members, retired government officials and other influential persons has ordered the Secretary Administration to get back all such vehicles immediately.
Taking notice of another news report regarding alleged selling of three girls on the order of "Jirga" held in village Garhi Hassan, Thul Taluka of district Jacobabad, the chief minister ordered the DIG Larkana division to take legal action against the culprits.
"I would never allow such an inhuman act which is not only contrary to the principles of human rights but against the teaching of Islam," he said.
The chief minister on media report about the shortage of gunny bags, directed all the commissioners and deputy commissioners to ensure judicious distribution of gunny bags to farmers for the newly launched wheat procurement drive by the provincial food department.
Taking serious view about the release of contaminated water into the left bank canal system of Kotri Barrage, he asked the Secretary Irrigation to ensure provision of clean water into the system.
