Lawmakers urge to avoid confrontation, resolve issues politically

ISLAMABAD: Lawmakers in National Assembly on Tuesday called upon the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf to avoid confrontation and resolve the contentious issues politically and through dialogue.

Speaking during discussion on imposition of article 245 in Islamabad, senior members like Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Ijazul Haq, Sahibzada Tariqullah and number of others asked both the parties to act sanely because the country could not afford confrontation or anarchy.

It was more or less common notion except Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed or a couple of other members that August 14 must be celebrated in a manner that a message of unity reaches across the country and abroad.
