imageLAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearish trend by losing 69.75 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5791.62 points and closed at 5721.87 points.

The market's overall situation, however, corresponded slightly to an upward trend as it remained at 1.264 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.255 million shares, showing an upward move of 9,700 shares. While, out of the total 93 active scrips 11 moved up, 29 shed values and 53 remained equal.

The Major Gainers of the day were Packages Limited, Pak Suzuki Motors Company Limited and Dawood Lawrencepur Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 13.64, Rs 11.88 and Rs 6.04 respectively.

Shell Pakistan Limited, Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited and The Hub Power Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 16.00, Rs 3.20 and Rs 2.99 respectively.

Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 293,000 shares, K-Electric Limited with 212,500 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 108,000 shares.
