QUETTA: National Accountability Court (NAB) Balochistan Wednesday arrested former advisor to chief minister Balochistan, Mir Khalid Langove in mega corruption case from outside of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) premises as the court rejected his pre-arrest bail application.
The NAB Balochistan officials confirmed the arrest of Mir Langove. Mir Khalid Langove through his lawyer filed pre-arrest bail application in the High Court, requesting for granting him pre-arrest bail in the corruption case of former Finance Secretary Mushtaq Raisani who was suspended being investigated by the NAB.
Mir Langove who appeared before the court during the hearing of his bail application was arrested when he came out of the court and sat in his vehicle. The NAB officials were present outside of the Court premises took Khalid Langove in the custody from the vehicle. He was shifted to NAB headquarters.
Earlier, the NAB had issued three summons to Mir Langove, asking him to appear before NAB Quetta for questioning him in Mushtaq Raisani case. It may be mentioned here that the NAB Balochistan had recovered over Rs 650 million cash, foreign currency and gold from the house of suspended finance secretary Balochistan, Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani, which he allegedly embezzled from the official funds of Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and Local Government Department during the period from 2013 to 2015.
