FAISALABAD: City Police Officer (CPO) Afzaal Kausar has deputed 1,702 police officials and officers for security duty along with polio teams during a three-day anti-polio drive here.
A police spokesman Amir Waheed said Monday that the health department planned to start polio drive from May 23 to 25.Therefore, the CPO appointed 1,702 police officials including 11 Inspectors, 33 Sub-Inspectors, 161 Assistant Sub-Inspectors, 173 Head-Constables and 1,324 constables for security duty.
These police personnel will remain along with anti-polio teams of health department from the start till culmination of their duty in the field.
The station house officers, mobile officers and eagle squads will also remain alert to deal with any untoward incident during the anti-polio drive in the district, he added.
