imageISLAMABAD: Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has placed the status of Hajj applications, being deposited in banks nowadays, on website of the ministry, the applicants could correct mistakes in applicants if any.

An official of the Ministry Tuesday told APP that the intending pilgrims can check online the status of their applications by clicking their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) or Hajj application number at www.hajjinfo.org.

The applicant can also check the inclusion of name in the Hajj group of his choice and can correct the mistake if any right now as the balloting would be held on May 14 on the basis of these Hajj Groups. The applicant must check whether the names of his companions have been included in the Hajj group of his choice.

He said the across country branches of 10 banks would continue receiving Hajj applications till May 8, while the successful applicants would be selected on May 14 through transparent balloting.

It is incumbent upon each intending pilgrim to declare his firm belief on finality of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Each applicant must have a valid Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC), having validity up to March 21, 2016, a Machine Readable Passport (MRP) or receipt of MRP before submitting Hajj application.

Every Hajj aspirant must submit 12 4*3 size pictures with light blue background. Women aspirants should submit photo with duly covered head, hair and neck, he said.

Each Haji must have SR 200 to meet day to day expenses for 40 days stay in Saudi Arabia. He must have amount for performing ceremony of sacrifice.

Each aspirant should write his/her blood group in the form, which would be written on identity card issued by the ministry of religious affairs and interfaith harmony before proceeding to Hajj.

Each Haji must submit a medical certificate issued by a certified doctor of any government hospital, certifying that he/she is in good health, not facing any viral disease and capable of having smooth journey to Saudi Arabia sans any problem, he said.

The applications could be deposited in across country branches of including National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank limited, Allied Bank of Pakistan, United Bank Limited, Muslim commercial Bank, Agricultural Development Bank, Bank Al Falah, Meezan Bank, Habib Metropolitan Bank and the Bank of Punjab.

The applicants should fill application forms by themselves so that particulars could be written correctly. The applicants, who could not fill the forms should at least ensure correct filling of their forms.

Each applicant should ink his signature at five places of the Hajj application form. Before filling the form, instructions should be read meticulously to avoid rejection of the application.

It is better to fill a photocopy of the Hajj form and then fill the original form. The Hajj application forms should be filled with black ink pen in neat and clean English. In case of any mistake rectify it with fluid. Fill the form within available space. Particulars must be written correctly. No space of the form should remain empty. Irrelevant space or column should be erased.

CNIC numbers should be written at the forms without dash. Only the names of applicant, father's name, husband's name should be written on the forms which are written on CNIC and MRPs. Avoid writing miss, Mr or Mrs with the name, he said.

Women aspirants should write the name of father or husband as written in CNIC or MRP to avoid any inconvenience.Married women, whose husband's name has not been written in CNIC as yet should write the name of her husband as Nadra does not authenticate such CNICs.

The applicant must write his present address on the form. Post code no could be seen in the list available with the Banks.

The photos must not be affixed in hajj forms with gum and applicant must avoid stapling it. A photocopy of international passport's picture's page should be affixed with the application form, he said.

Hajj applicants can submit their applications individually while one family, Mohalla or area people can constitute a group of 10 to 25 peoples. Applicants could form a group on their own. Any of their member, having adequate knowledge of Hajj rituals can be nominated as head of the group.

The application form numbers of the group members should be written with group leader. The departure place, sect, application form no of group leader and deposit of dues of the each group member must be the same.

A group leader must be informed about his responsibilities.

In the applications of disabled persons, the application form number of their companion and assistant must be written. The assistant must travel with the group of disabled persons, he said.

All the Hajj applicants should nominate their close confident and near and dear ones to be contacted in emergency. The nominated person should be a family member, who can be handover the dues of a Haji.

The female hujjaj belonging to Fiqah-e-Jafria are not bound to go to perform Hajj with Mehram. Female of all sects of Ahl e Sunnah were bound to go to Hajj with Mehram. At least four females can travel with a Mehram. A Mehram could be a father, husband, brother, son, paternal grand father, and maternal grand father, father in law, uncle, nephew, grand son and son in law, he said.

A person should write his relation at given place and obtain signatures from the Mehram. The hajj application no of Mehram should be written at relevant place. Avoid making pseudo Mehram for this sacred journey.

Banks while constituting hajj groups used to include the name of single women with unknown male which is tantamount to deceiving God.

The applicants must ink signatures on an agreement pledging to abide the Saudi laws during the hajj days. Indulging in political activities and holding any rallies is not allowed in Saudia.

Saudi Hajj ministry has emphasized on imparting proper training on hujjaj, he concluded.
