LAHORE: As temperature in the city rose to 24 degree celsius on Monday, Met Office has predicted isolated heavy falls accompanied with hailstorms at few places of the province including Lahore city, Lahore and Gujranwala divisions on Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to Met Office, a strong weather system has entered in Pakistan (through Balochistan) on Sunday. This weather system may persist in upper Punjab till Thursday and caused widespread thunderstorm rain in upper parts of the country, scattered thunderstorm rain in South Punjab is expected during the period.
"Widespread thunderstorm-rain is expected in upper & central Punjab (Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions) while at scattered places in South Punjab (D.G. Khan, Multan and Bahawalpur divisions) during next 24 hours which is likely to persist till Wednesday", he informed.
