QUETTA: Unknown men blew up two towers of high transmission line at night between Saturday and Sunday near Notal area of Nasirabad district, causing suspension of electricity supply to respective areas of Balochistan including Quetta.
According to police, unidentified men had attached improvise explosive devices (IED) with electricity pylon No. 75 and pylon No. 76 of high transmission line coming from Guddo Barrage which went off.
As a result, Quetta and other respecitive areas of Balochistan were deprived of electric supply after damages to electricity pylon of high transmission line.
The teams of National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) reached the site and started repairing of damaged electricity pylons.
