imageNAWABSHAH: Ongoing development schemes of Moro city would be completed within shortest possible time while Secretary Finance has finalized to make payment of required funds.

This was disclosed by Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad Division, Jamal Mustafa Syed while addressing a meeting at Moro Rest House on Thursday.

He said that old National Highway passing through middle of the city was being reconstructed at a cost of Rs.120 million and scheme would be completed in a period of one year. He advised authorities to remove illegal encroachments falling in the limits of road and remove the electricity poles.

The Commissioner also directed Chief Municipal Officer Moro to verify the staff and also their posting orders.

He ordered to check the attendance of staff on daily basis and issue show-cause notice to absent staff and spare absent staff with in a period of fifteen days.

On the occasion Superintendent Engineer Works and Services Department Syed Ashfaque Hussain informed that construction of rain water nullah was causing delay for the construction of road. Engineer Public Health Engineering Department told that scheme to release drainage water of the city in river Indus was approved at Rs. 350 million.

The meeting was also informed that at present 200 clerks were drawing salaries from Municipal Office Moro.

The Commissioner later visited Civil Hospital Moro and went round departments of the hospital. He also took a view of Trauma centre and construction of road.

Deputy Commissioner Naushehro Feroze, Mirza Nasir Ali, PPP leader Feroze Ahmed Jamali and officials of different departments were also Present on the occasion.
